Easter Saturday

This past Saturday we went to an Easter picnic complete with egg decorating and a hunt through the maze garden to find some Easter treats. Keanu wasn't much up for participating in those kinds of events, but we had a good time posing the kids in Julie's big basket. You might recall a similar picture last year.

Later, we cooled off with 30-cent ice cream bars while waiting for Kevin's tennis lesson to start. After sampling all three flavors, we decided that the peanut flavor is best - much better than the red bean one!

Growing

As Kate reached 4 months this week, we got a couple of things accomplished:

1. An appointment to get her passport the week after next.

2. Her check up with the doctor (she's almost 17 pounds and in the 90th percentile - she just loves her milk!)

3. A new skill - rolling over. Kevin took her to the doctor yesterday afternoon and when she asked him if she could roll over yet, he truthfully answered "no". Last evening while Kevin was teaching and I was home with the kids she rolled over 4 times, but never while anyone was looking! Then she did the same thing tonight. I put her on the floor and stood ready with the video camera for 20 minutes - nothing. I turn away to turn off the burning potatoes and look back at her 30 seconds later to see she's upset because she's somehow on her tummy. Silly girl!

Easter Eggs

We boiled a couple of eggs and Keanu and Yoyo got to dye some in preparation for Easter. They both had a great time and every time Keanu goes to the refrigerator he asks for the pink eggs!You might notice the cracks in the pink eggs... well, that's what happens when a 2 year old drops them in the mug of dye and plays with them in there with the tongs...
