We woke up today and decided to make a trip to the zoo - Keanu's first! Perhaps Sunday's not the best day for an afternoon at the zoo - or anywhere outside on a beautiful day like today. We had a good time despite the half hour wait for a parking space and amid the mountains of people.
Near the entrance, we stopped to see the monkeys and took Keanu out of his stroller so he could see them. After that, he got the
brilliant idea that perhaps if he's in his stroller he might miss something exciting like watching monkeys swing from branch to branch. It's a good thing Kevin doesn't think he's too heavy. It gave them a chance to check out all of the animals along the way until we stopped to see the hippos emerging from the sidewalk. Keanu had a great time climbing on the hippos and riding the zebra. That wore him out and made him hungry, so later he consented to riding in the stroller so he could eat some crackers.

Just before closing time, we made it to the penguin house at the rear of the park. This was almost as fun as the hippos. I guess Keanu's a bit taller than the 74cm Adelie, but not as tall as a 95cm Emperor.
After a fun afternoon, Kevin cooked dinner at Pizza Hut and Keanu took a long nap. Sounds like a great evening, too!
