Afternoon Tea

Kevin promised us an afternoon to run around outside and relax with a nice view and we were happy to enjoy the fruits of his promise. Beyond the rice fields and nature preserve, you can see the city of Taipei just before the heavens broke open in spring plum rains.

It was a hot, humid afternoon, so Keanu ran around shirtless (don't worry, he put his shirt on to eat) and watched the other kids and puppies.

Car wash

We went through the car wash today and, boy, was Keanu scared!

Trike

We made a trip to Costco earlier this week and saw a cute set of wheels that we just couldn't pass up. Kevin put it together all by himself when we got home and Keanu's been riding it every day since. His legs don't reach the pedals, but they're long enough to reach the floor quite well. Dad, does this look familiar?

New pants

Aunt Teresa got Keanu 2 pairs of new pants today and he decided to try both of them on - at the same time! The khaki pants are a bit long, but doesn't he look funny with his navy shorts over the top?

Looking for answers

For those of you who made assumptions about that last entry, you're right. Keanu's going to be a big brother by the end of this year. That's why I've been absolutely exhausted after a day at work or a day on the weekend chasing a toddler and haven't been very dedicated to updating this site. I think I've found a way to get more posts on here - take the laptop to bed so I can just pass out afterwards!

Several readers are moms to more than one child and most people I've talked to agree that each pregnancy is a bit different. I've decided that the biggest difference between this pregancy and my other one is the fact that I'm working full time during the first trimester (last time we took the pregnancy test on the last day of school before summer vacation) and now I've got a busy toddler to keep up with. Those two combined have already challenged my wits, but Kevin has been a big help in the evenings these days so I can go to bed before those two night owls.

We're hoping that a month from now when the first trimester ends might also be an end to the nausea and constant fatigue, but we'll see. That might last for the next 18 years.

Looking for clues

OK, so I've dawdled a bit about posting anything on here recently. It's been busy both at work and at home so any of my free time has been spent catching up on rest.

However, did you notice the clues on the recent post about the bread maker? Did anyone figure it out before I told you to look for the clues??

Stairmaster

We don't need an exercise machine; we've already got a stairmaster. He loves walking up and down the stairs and would do it all night if he had a choice. He prefers to walk instead of crawl and actually does pretty well. However I'm always cautious and don't let him do it alone since the stairs are all rock-hard terrazzo.
